Abstract

This study analyzes public perception of one of the efforts to prevent and control the spread of Corona Virus Disease 2019 (Covid 19), namely the implementation of public policies contained in Makassar Mayor Regulation Number 5 of 2021 concerning Makassar Recover. Against this background, there are pros and cons from the community in various media regarding this policy since it was officially implemented, while the City Government of Makassar dares to say that the Makassar Recover policy is a flagship program. Based on these problems and taking into account the position of the community as a policy target that directly benefits and impacts, the researcher considers it important to know the public's perception of the Makassar Recover policy so that it becomes a reference material for policy improvement for the City Government of Makassar. This study uses Mixed Methode Research (MMR), which combines quantitative methods and qualitative methods. As for data collection techniques through distributing questionnaires to the people of Makassar City, observing and approaching the literature study. The results of the study show that although there is still resistance to this policy, the majority of the community agrees and provides support for the substance of the policy, the behavior of implementing officers, interaction of work networks, participation of target groups and resources in the Makassar Recover policy.
