Abstract

The political contestation in the 2019 election has had a surprising impact. Regardless of who wins, this nation seems to be divided into two camps, namely Jokowi camp (01) and Prabowo camp (02). Political, social and cultural polarization occurs from the elite level to the community. The potential for national disintegration or disintegration can emerge and become a threat to the establishment of our beloved Unitary Republic of Indonesia (NKRI) if there is no real effort to improve it. For this reason, a real effort is needed to solve this problem. national reconciliation to reunite the people of the nation who are separated from their national cords. Reconciliation that occurs must be comprehensive so that it has a positive impact on all levels, both elites and communities, and is carried out simultaneously in a top-down, as well as bottom-up manner. Then, reconciliation after the presidential election must also foster a spirit of nationalism in the socio-cultural construction so that after the reconciliation of each element of the nation will automatically unite to achieve national goals and ideals. Responding to the condition of the nation, this paper wants to discuss how political reconciliation should be carried out to reunite the conflicting parties after the 2019 presidential election. This reconciliation must ultimately be able to foster a spirit of nationalism in socio-cultural construction.
